The Savoy is one of the world's most famous hotels, and its Lancaster Ballroom is one of the most demanding rooms in London to produce well. The plasterwork, the arched mirrored windows and the chandeliers are the reason couples book it, so the job is never to cover the room up. It is to build inside it, light what is already there, and leave the ballroom looking like it was always meant to look that way.
Kudos AV has produced two very different weddings in this room. See a members club wedding, built black and gold around a mirror-polished bar and a retro lamp wall, and a blossom garden wedding, built around a curved LED garden with an LED return and a dancefloor cut to its own shape.
Event production in the Lancaster Ballroom
Producing in a five star landmark is as much about discipline as design: quiet load-ins to the hotel's timings, immaculate cable runs, floors laid over the Savoy's own carpet without marking it, and set pieces finished like furniture. We arrive pre-built and rehearsed so the ballroom turns around cleanly.
One team covers staging and bespoke builds, lighting design, LED screens and video content, sound for ceremonies, speeches, bands and DJs, and large format print for media walls, seating plans and signage. All the time. Recent Savoy weddings have been produced alongside planners including Snob Events and Principle Global, with florals and styling provided by the couple's own suppliers. We handle the technical production around them and light their work properly.
What sound can you provide for a band or DJ at The Savoy?
d&b audiotechnik systems from our own inventory, designed and tuned in house for the ballroom's acoustics, covering ceremony and speech microphones, a live band and a DJ on one system. Contact us with your date.
