Royal Museums Greenwich brings together four of the most extraordinary buildings in the United Kingdom into a single UNESCO World Heritage Site on the south bank of the Thames. The estate spans the original 17th century Royal Observatory at the top of Greenwich Park, Inigo Jones' Palladian Queen's House at its foot, the vast National Maritime Museum that surrounds it, and the 1869 tea clipper Cutty Sark dry berthed a short walk from the river.
Each venue is a hireable event space with its own distinct character, and together they offer a range of capacities and atmospheres unmatched anywhere in London: an intimate gold leaf ceilinged ceremony for 100 in the Great Hall, a 1,000 guest reception under the glass roof of the Ocean Court, a 360 guest dinner beneath the copper hull of Cutty Sark, or a 220 guest reception on the Prime Meridian at the Royal Observatory under the stars.

Every venue at Royal Museums Greenwich operates an accredited supplier list: a small group of vetted production companies approved to deliver technical events inside the listed interiors and outdoor spaces. We hold accreditation across all four venues and bring a single, consistent production standard to every event on the site.
That accreditation matters because these are not regular event spaces. They are some of the most precious listed interiors in Britain. Working at Royal Museums Greenwich requires a deep understanding of how to deliver modern lighting, audio, presentation and immersive content inside Grade I listed historic fabric, on UNESCO designated land, without compromising either the experience or the building.

Corporate event production across Royal Museums Greenwich
Choosing a Greenwich setting for a corporate event starts with the format. Cutty Sark offers the Dry Berth beneath the hull; the National Maritime Museum provides a large atrium for gala dinners and awards. Queen’s House and the Royal Observatory offer different settings for client receptions, presentations and private dining.

Producing an event at Royal Museums Greenwich
01Is a technician included, or is it dry hire?
Either. Equipment can go out on dry hire, or with the technicians and operators who install it, run the show and take it out again. Most events at Royal Museums Greenwich are crewed. Our quotes list install crew, operators and the project manager as separate lines, so you can see exactly what is included before you commit.
02Can you rig from the building's structure?
Only from points the venue approves, and never from anything the venue has not signed off. Our riggers work to LOLER and PLASA standards, with full load calculations and risk assessments completed before load in. The team works regularly in heritage interiors, listed beam structures and rooms with low ceilings, so the design starts from what the building allows.
03Who produces events across the Royal Museums Greenwich estate?
Yes. Kudos AV is an accredited technical production partner across the estate, which covers the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory and the Queen's House. One team and one point of contact can carry an event that moves between them, rather than a separate supplier per building.
04How many guests can the Greenwich venues hold?
It depends on the building. The National Maritime Museum takes up to 1,000 standing and 550 for a seated dinner, the Cutty Sark 400 standing and 240 seated, the Queen's House 200 standing and 120 seated, and the Royal Observatory 220 in the Meridian Courtyard. The grounds hold up to 5,000 for an outdoor event.
05Do you work around the heritage restrictions?
That is most of the job on this estate. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so rigging, cable routes, fixing points and light levels are all agreed with the venue before anything is built. Our production design starts from what the building allows, not from a standard rig that then has to be argued down.
