Cutty Sark is one of the most iconic and genuinely singular event venues in the world. Built in 1869, she is the last surviving tea clipper of her era and sits in permanent dry dock at the heart of the UNESCO Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, just twenty minutes from the City of London.
The centrepiece of any event here is The Dry Berth : the dramatic space directly beneath the ship's copper-clad hull, flooded with warm light that plays across the curved underside of the vessel above your guests' heads. There is nothing else like it anywhere in London. The Dry Berth accommodates 400 for a standing reception, 300 for a conference, and 240 for a seated dinner, making it equally powerful for large corporate galas, product launches, award dinners and press events.
Above deck, The Weather Deck offers one of Greenwich's finest outdoor settings: open sky, the masts and rigging of a 19th-century clipper, and sweeping views across the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a spectacular space for pre-dinner drinks, summer receptions and photography moments that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the capital.
For more intimate occasions, The 'Tween Deck sits within the ship itself and accommodates up to 100 standing or 60 for a seated dinner, surrounded by original ship fittings and authentic nautical character. The Master's Saloon offers the most exclusive experience: a private dining room for up to 12 guests in what were once the captain's own quarters.

The Dry Berth has a unique acoustic character. Our engineers design and tune speaker systems specifically for the space, delivering clear, even coverage for speeches, presentations and entertainment at every event.
LED Walls & Video
Ground-supported LED walls and screens configured for the Dry Berth layout. No rigging into the vessel structure: every installation is freestanding and precisely positioned for maximum visual impact.
Full Event Production
End-to-end technical production management: from initial site survey and power planning through to on-site operation and full derig within the venue's strict curfew windows. One team across every discipline.

The Dry Berth beneath Cutty Sark’s hull gives a corporate dinner or awards ceremony a distinctive setting. Producing an event at Cutty Sark
01Is a technician included, or is it dry hire?
Either. Equipment can go out on dry hire, or with the technicians and operators who install it, run the show and take it out again. Most events at the Cutty Sark are crewed. Our quotes list install crew, operators and the project manager as separate lines, so you can see exactly what is included before you commit.
02Can you rig from the building's structure?
Only from points the venue approves, and never from anything the venue has not signed off. Our riggers work to LOLER and PLASA standards, with full load calculations and risk assessments completed before load in. The team works regularly in heritage interiors, listed beam structures and rooms with low ceilings, so the design starts from what the building allows.
03How many guests fit under the Cutty Sark?
The ship holds 400 for a standing reception, 240 for a seated dinner and 300 theatre style for a conference, across five distinct spaces.
04What AV can be installed beneath the hull?
Lighting designed for the space under the ship, sound, LED walls and video, and full event production. The hull itself is the feature, so the lighting is built to show it rather than compete with it.
05Which AV suppliers are approved to work at the Cutty Sark?
