Lighting, sound and print for a museum wedding
In a building like this the architecture is the decor, so the production starts with lighting it. Wireless uplighters on the arches and columns, framing spots on the florals and staircase, gobo washes for texture and pin spots on the tables let one room hold a warm ceremony, a candlelit dinner and a full party. Everything is designed within the museum's rules on fixings, rigging and cable routes, agreed before anything is built.

650 for a seated dinner, 450 for a dinner dance and 1,200 standing. Earth Hall takes 200 seated and 400 standing. Our Hintze Hall wedding was for 200 guests.
07Who can do the lighting and AV for a wedding at the Natural History Museum?
The museum works with approved suppliers only. Kudos AV is on the museum's approved suppliers list, so we already know the hall's power, rigging rules and access times.
08Can the lighting change between the ceremony, dinner and party?
Yes, and in one room it should. At our Hintze Hall wedding the hall moved from warm amber for the ceremony to red and magenta for dinner and pink and amber with beams for the party, all from the same rig.
09Can we have a printed dancefloor or bar at the museum?
Yes. We design, print and build dancefloors, bars, DJ booths and media walls in house, and plan them with the museum so they suit the hall and its floors.
