The story
A project worth looking at properly.
For its tenth anniversary, Kudos took over Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum and turned the room into a showcase of everything the company does. Guests dined beneath the museum's famous whale skeleton, in a hall transformed by light, sound and staging.
It was our own event, so the brief was simple: show what a full Kudos production looks like when nothing is held back. Every discipline in the business, from lighting and sound to staging, LED, print and scenic, was brought together under one roof.
Production scope
Designed. Built. Delivered.
The production disciplines brought together for this project.
Dynamic Lighting
A full lighting rig washing the hall, the arches and the whale in rich, changing colour throughout the night.
Illuminated Staircase & Stage
The grand staircase lit as the centrepiece, with a custom stage integrated straight off the stairs.
Full Sound System
Sound for speeches, a live band and DJ sets, tuned to the scale and acoustics of the hall.
Large LED Screen
A large LED screen behind the stage for content, branding and the anniversary moment.
3D Lettering & Exterior
3D #KUDOS10 lettering and full illumination of the museum's main entrance outside.
Band & DJ
Live band and DJ performances programmed to run the room from dinner into the party.
Print & Scenic
Branded print, table centrepieces and scenic detailing, produced in house.
Full Show Operation
One in house team running lighting, sound, LED and staging end to end.
The Production
A full production showcase in one of London's great spaces
Dynamic lighting washed the hall, the arches and the whale in deep magenta and purple, with the grand staircase illuminated as the centrepiece. A custom stage was integrated straight off the stairs, backed by a large LED screen for content and speeches.
A full sound system carried the speeches, a live band and DJ sets through the night, while pyro and effects lifted the key moments. Outside, 3D #KUDOS10 lettering and full illumination of the main entrance set the tone before guests even stepped inside.
The Venue
Hintze Hall, Natural History Museum
Hintze Hall is one of the most dramatic event spaces in London: soaring Romanesque arches, the terracotta detail of the building, and the whale skeleton suspended overhead.
It is a space that rewards ambitious production, and one we know how to light and fill. If you are planning an event at the Natural History Museum, this is the scale of production we bring.
