Waddesdon Manor is one of the finest event venues in the country, a magnificent French Renaissance château built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the 1870s and now cared for by the National Trust. Set within 160 acres of Buckinghamshire parkland, it offers a collection of three distinctly different venues, each suited to a different scale and character of event.
The Manor itself is the centrepiece, the grand state rooms and terraces, combined with a marquee on the Parterre, can host up to 1,000 guests for the most ambitious of events. From large scale corporate dinners and award ceremonies to intimate private dinners in the historic cellars, the Manor adapts brilliantly to any brief.
The Dairy is a beautiful, more intimate venue within the estate, a tranquil waterside setting surrounded by ornamental gardens. The West Hall seats up to 150 for dinner, the South Hall up to 120, and with exclusive use the whole Dairy can accommodate 250 for a seated dinner or 500 for a drinks reception. It is licensed for civil ceremonies, making it popular for weddings and celebratory dinners.
Windmill Hill provides a purpose built conference and forum space with panoramic views across the Buckinghamshire countryside, ideal for corporate away days, think tanks, and leadership meetings that benefit from an inspiring and secluded setting.

Corporate events and conference AV at Waddesdon
Waddesdon offers different settings for a corporate brief: the Manor and grounds for receptions and larger productions, The Dairy for dinners and gatherings, and Windmill Hill for conferences and leadership meetings. The technical design starts with the space you have booked and the programme you want to run. We plan sound, lighting and presentation systems around the estate’s heritage requirements.
A conference needs clear speech and reliable presentations; an awards dinner needs a visible stage, well-lit presenters and coordinated playback. For a marquee event, we also scope staging, lighting and the technical arrangements with the estate and marquee supplier. Producing an event at Waddesdon Manor
01Is a technician included, or is it dry hire?
Either. Equipment can go out on dry hire, or with the technicians and operators who install it, run the show and take it out again. Most events at Waddesdon Manor are crewed. Our quotes list install crew, operators and the project manager as separate lines, so you can see exactly what is included before you commit.
02Can you rig from the building's structure?
Only from points the venue approves, and never from anything the venue has not signed off. Our riggers work to LOLER and PLASA standards, with full load calculations and risk assessments completed before load in. The team works regularly in heritage interiors, listed beam structures and rooms with low ceilings, so the design starts from what the building allows.
03How many guests can Waddesdon Manor host?
Up to 1,000 across three distinct venues, with 500 for a marquee dinner and 44 for a state room dinner, in 160 acres of Buckinghamshire grounds.
04Can you produce an event in the marquee and the house?
Yes. Marquee lighting design and heritage sensitive audio are both part of what we do here, and an event that moves between the grounds and the house is run by one team.
05Is production restricted in a National Trust property?
There are rules, as with any heritage property, and they are agreed with the estate before the design is fixed. That is why we start from what the building and the collection allow.
06Can you help with conference AV at Windmill Hill and dinner production at The Dairy?
Yes. Include both spaces and the timings in your brief so we can plan presentation systems, microphones and technical support for the conference, then sound and lighting for the dinner. The final equipment and installation arrangements are agreed with the Waddesdon team for each space.
