The story

A ballroom built around the first dance.

This wedding in the Ballroom at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London brought the first dance into the centre of the room. A white circular stage became the focal point, with curved tables around it and bespoke floral walkways connecting the dining layout to an Italian-inspired stage set.

Planned by Snob Events, the reception combined an all-white scenic build with a curved Unilumin P2.6 LED screen and a full Kudos AV lighting rig. Moving lights, beam lights, gobo washes and colour washes brought different looks to the same setting.

Kudos AV supplied the bespoke walkways, central first-dance stage, curved and oval tables, main curved stage, staircase set, screen and lighting. In the foyer, a printed photographic media wall with illuminated lettering created a separate photo opportunity before guests entered the ballroom.

Room layout & bespoke tables

The first dance, at the heart of the room.

The central stage shaped the layout of this Grosvenor House wedding. Curved tables followed its outline, keeping the dining arrangement connected to the first-dance area. Bespoke oval tables completed the room, bringing softer shapes to the reception layout.

The bespoke walkways and staging were planned together. Floral graphics carried the visual theme through the room, while the white stage surfaces gave the floor and lighting a clean frame. The result was a clear visual route from the guest tables to the central stage and the main set beyond.

Italian-inspired set & curved LED

A palazzo-inspired backdrop, built in white.

The bespoke scenic set took its cue from grand Italian staircases: broad steps on both sides, decorative white balustrades and curved tiers across the front. Its white finish carried through the main stage and the circular first-dance platform, tying the physical build together.

Behind the staircase set, a curved Unilumin P2.6 LED screen extended the scene with palazzo-style architectural imagery. The screen also carried floral content, giving the backdrop a different character within the same white set. Physical steps and railings in front of the screen added depth to the design.

Overhead moving lights cast patterned gobos across the Grosvenor House Ballroom ceiling above the wedding tables and floral walkway.

Full lighting rig

White surfaces. Colour, pattern and movement.

Kudos AV supplied a full wedding lighting rig with moving lights, beam lights, gobo washes and colour washes. Patterned light reached across the ceiling and floor, while pink and purple washes changed the atmosphere around the white build.

The photographs show how the lighting connected the whole ballroom: guest tables, walkways, the central first-dance stage and the larger scenic backdrop. Planning the rig alongside the stage and table layout brought the production into the room as a whole.

Foyer photo opportunity

A printed welcome, finished with light.

The reception production began in the foyer with a bespoke printed media wall. Large photographic artwork sat beside personalised lettering, with LED strip lighting adding an illuminated finish to the display.

Designed as a photo opportunity, the wall brought print and lighting together in one freestanding feature. It is also featured on our Print Production page, where you can explore media walls, event graphics and bespoke printed surfaces for weddings and other events.

Weddings at Grosvenor House London

Production planned for the Ballroom.

The Ballroom at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London is on Park Lane in Mayfair, with an adjoining foyer that gives the arrival experience its own setting. For this wedding, the foyer photo wall and the main room production were treated as parts of the same reception.
