Yes Theory 10 Million Celebration at the Natural History Museum

Yes Theory marked 10 million YouTube subscribers in Earth Hall, with YouTube presenting the Diamond Creator Award. Kudos AV lit the hall with custom Yes Theory gobos and Astera wireless uplighting, lit the stage for the speeches and ran the sound.

The story

Ten million, under the Earth.

Yes Theory, the adventure channel built on the idea of seeking discomfort, passed 10 million subscribers on YouTube and on 19 September 2026 chose Earth Hall at the Natural History Museum to celebrate it with its community, creators, friends and family. The centrepiece of the evening was YouTube presenting the 10 million subscriber Diamond Creator Award to the Yes Theory team.

Kudos AV supplied the lighting and sound: custom Yes Theory gobos projected across the hall, Astera wireless uplighting on the walls, a stage wash for the speakers and the award, and a sound system for the remarks and the celebration that followed.

The evening

Arrival, the award, then the room opens up.

The evening ran in three parts. Guests arrived into Earth Hall for a relaxed first half hour, with time to meet one another and take in the space: the escalator rising into the museum’s great Earth sculpture, and the Stegosaurus at the entrance.

Then came the programme. Co-founder Ammar Kandil hosted as MC, and co-founder Thomas Brag, Stefan and Tommy shared what the journey and the community behind it had meant, before a YouTube representative presented the Diamond Creator Award, the plaque was revealed and the team gathered on stage together. After that the formal part ended and the room opened back up for photographs with the award and time with the community.

The custom Yes Theory gobo

Custom gobos

Yes Theory, written in light.

Rather than print or screens, the branding was projected. Custom gobos carried the Yes Theory logo onto the walls of Earth Hall, so the name sat inside the architecture of the museum and could change colour with the rest of the lighting through the night.

Constellation patterns across the walls and the Stegosaurus gave the hall a sense of scale and adventure that suited a channel built on travel and exploration. See more of our lighting design.

Astera wireless uplighting

Blue, amber and green, with no cable on the floor.

Earth Hall is a tall, dark space, and the Astera wireless uplighters placed along its walls and columns gave it colour from the floor up: blue and amber for arrival, green and purple as the night went on, with the Earth sculpture glowing at the top of the escalator.

Being battery powered and wireless, the Astera fixtures keep cable runs off the museum’s floors and can sit exactly where the design needs them, which matters in a heritage building with the public galleries close by.

Stage & sound

A stage wash for the award.

The stage sat in front of the Earth sculpture, and a dedicated stage wash lifted the speakers and the award presentation out of the darker hall, so the moment read clearly from every part of the room.
