iXL Events Centre Dallas Burston Refit

We are proud to announce the completion of a £1 million full scale refurbishment of the IXL Events Centre at Dallas Burston Polo Club, one of the most significant venue transformation projects we have ever undertaken, and a statement of intent for the future of events in the Midlands.

As the in house production partner at IXL, this project went far beyond our usual scope of event delivery. Working closely with the venue team, we rebuilt the production infrastructure and interior environment of the Main Hall from the ground up, touching every surface, every fixture and every system in the space.

What changed

The refurbishment covers the full breadth of the venue's technical and physical environment:

• Unilumin 2.6mm LED wall, a state of the art LED screen installed on stage, delivering pin-sharp visuals at any ambient light level and for any event format
• Starcloth ceiling, a new starcloth ceiling installation that transforms the atmosphere of the room at the touch of a button
• New lighting production rig, a fully upgraded intelligent lighting rig giving the venue a production capability to match the very best in the country
• New reception, a completely redesigned reception area that creates the right first impression from the moment guests arrive
• New bar, a brand new bar installation built to handle the volume and energy of IXL's largest events
• New wall cladding, premium wall cladding throughout, elevating the venue's finish to match its new technical ambition
• New carpets, new flooring across the venue, completing a transformation that leaves no detail untouched

What this means for clients

The IXL Events Centre has always been one of the most versatile event venues in the Midlands. With this investment behind it, it is now one of the best-equipped. Clients booking the venue can expect a production environment that removes the compromises often associated with large format events, a stage-ready LED wall, a fully programmable atmosphere, and a space that looks and feels as impressive as it performs.

As the in house production partner, the Kudos AV team will continue to manage full technical delivery across every event. Our knowledge of this building, the power, the rigging, the acoustics, the flow of a 750-person dinner, remains unchanged. What has changed is what we now have to work with.
