Full product details
The d&b Q1 is a passive two-way line array cabinet: two 10 inch low-frequency drivers in a dipolar arrangement and a 1.3 inch compression driver on a toroidal waveshaping device. Its 75 degree constant-directivity horizontal pattern holds down to 400 Hz, and a 15 degree vertical dispersion lets cabinets stack into a column that produces one curved, coherent wavefront.
What it is for
- Flown line arrays for conferences, awards dinners and product launches
- Concerts and live bands in venues up to arena-scale side hangs
- Rooms where sightlines matter: a flown Q1 column keeps the floor clear
- Speech, live music and playback from the same system
How it is used
Splay angles between cabinets set from 0 to 14 degrees, so an array can be shaped to the room: two cabinets give a 15 to 30 degree vertical spread, and up to twenty cabinets give a fully defined vertical profile for a large audience. Q1 flies with the Q-SUB in the same column and is driven by d&b D12 or D80 amplifiers. Cabinets are marine plywood with an impact-resistant finish and a pair of handles.
What it pairs with
Q-SUB and B2-SUB for low end, d&b D12 amplification, and M4 wedges on stage. Our engineers design the array from a venue drawing and tune it on the day as part of a sound production hire. A flown d&b line array is what we brought to the George Michael Singers Live gala at IXL Events Centre.
Delivery and support

Hire questions
d&b audiotechnik Q1 hire FAQs
How many Q1 cabinets do I need?+
From two per side for a ballroom to twenty for a large venue. Send us the room dimensions and audience size and our engineers will design the array.
Do you rig and tune the Q1 system?+
Yes. Supply and operate hires include an engineer to fly the array, tune it to the room and mix the event. Dry hire is available for experienced crews.
What subwoofer goes with the Q1?+
The Q-SUB flies in the same column or ground-stacks beneath it. For extended low end at larger shows we add the B2-SUB.
