Full product details
The d&b Q-SUB is the subwoofer that belongs under a Q-Series system. An 18 inch high-excursion driver in a low-compression bass-reflex cabinet, it is mechanically compatible with the Q1 and Q7, so it can fly in the same array or ground-stack beneath it, and it is driven by the d&b D12 amplifier with SenseDrive control.
What it is for
- Low end for Q1 line arrays at conferences, awards and concerts
- Ground stacks under Q7 point-source rigs in ballrooms and marquees
- Bands, DJs and playback where the system has to move air, not just be heard
- Flown sub arrays where floor space is tight
How it is used
Ten rigging sockets in the front grille and side panels take Q-Series flying hardware, so the Q-SUB flies above or below Q1 cabinets in a single column, or stacks on the floor with an M20 flange on top for a pole-mounted Q7. Two runners on the base sit into recesses on the top panel so stacks stay put. Cabinets are marine plywood with an impact-resistant finish, two handles and four heavy-duty wheels.
What it pairs with
The d&b Q1 line array cabinet, the D12 amplifier, and for extended low end at larger shows the B2-SUB. Our engineers design and tune the system for the room as part of a sound production hire.

Hire questions
d&b audiotechnik Q-SUB hire FAQs
Can the Q-SUB be flown?+
Yes. It uses the same rigging components as the Q1 and Q7, so it flies in the same array or ground-stacks beneath it.
What amplifier does the Q-SUB need?+
The d&b D12, which provides SenseDrive control. We supply it with the hire and our engineers set the system up.
How many Q-SUBs do I need?+
It depends on the room and the programme. Tell us the venue, the audience size and whether it is speech, a band or a DJ and we will design the system.
