Full product details
The d&b M4 is a coaxial stage monitor: a 15 inch neodymium driver with a 1.3 inch exit compression driver on a constant-directivity horn, in a low-profile wedge. Because the horn sits inside the woofer, the sound arrives from one point and the wedge sounds the same whether the performer is standing over it or a step to the side. It handles 400 W RMS and 1,600 W peak.
What it is for
- Vocal and instrument foldback for bands and touring artists
- Presenter and panel foldback at conferences and awards
- Side fills on wider stages
- Any stage where the wedge has to be loud without feeding back
How it is used
Wedges sit at the performer's feet angled up, one per position or shared between two, with mixes sent from the console. The M4 is driven by d&b D12 or D80 amplifiers, so the monitor system shares amplification and processing with the main Q1 or Q-SUB rig. Our engineers ring out each mix before doors.
What it pairs with
The rest of the d&b system, Shure and Sennheiser microphones, and in-ear monitoring for performers who prefer it. Part of our sound production service.
Delivery and support
Delivery, collection and technical support are part of every hire across London, the South East and the UK. Supplied with a monitor engineer where the show needs one.

Can you supply a monitor engineer?+
