The ULXD4D puts two independent digital receivers in a single rack unit with an internal power supply, which is why it is the receiver most speech systems are built from. Two channels per U means a four way system is one small rack, and the RF cascade ports feed the next receiver from the same pair of antennas.

How it is used
Each receiver has its own audio and RF metering, 60 dB of gain control and an XLR output, so the two channels are set independently. Two Ethernet ports carry Dante, which means the audio can reach the console over the network rather than on analogue lines. In standard mode the system runs up to 17 channels per 6 MHz television channel; the high density mode raises that to 47 at shorter range, which is how a large speech system fits into the spectrum a venue actually has.

How many radio mics do I need for a wedding?+
Usually two: one for the ceremony and one for the speeches, which one ULXD4D covers. Add a third if a band or a compere needs their own.
What does high density mode do?+
It fits far more channels into the same spectrum, up to 47 per television channel instead of 17, at shorter range. It is how a large speech system works in a building with little clear spectrum.
Can the audio run over the network?+
Yes. Two Ethernet ports carry Dante, so the channels reach a Dante console without analogue lines from the rack.
