Full product details

Axient Digital is what a production reaches for when the wireless simply cannot fail, and the AD4Q is four channels of it in a single rack unit. Wide tuning up to 184 MHz means it can move to whatever spectrum a venue leaves free, and Quadversity lets four antennas feed one channel, so a stage with awkward sightlines is covered from four positions at once.

What it is for

  • Awards shows and conferences where a dropout is seen by everyone
  • Broadcast and streamed events needing a Dante or AES67 feed
  • Large speech systems in venues with crowded spectrum
  • Stages where distance or structure makes coverage difficult
  • Productions already running Wireless Workbench for RF management

How it is used

Four channels sit in 1U with networked control through Wireless Workbench and the ShurePlus Channels app, so RF is monitored from the desk rather than at the rack. Digital output options are Dante, AES67 and AES3 through a configurable Ethernet switch that supports redundant Dante networks. Quadversity assigns four antennas to a single channel for coverage and signal quality, and the high density mode fits more channels into the spectrum available. It works with the full Axient Digital transmitter range, including the AD2 handheld with a Beta 58A capsule.

What it pairs with

The AD2 handheld transmitter, a Shure UHF active directional antenna for the antenna system, and a Dante capable desk from our console range. Our sound engineers coordinate the spectrum, licence it and run it.

Delivery and support

Hire questions

Shure AD4Q Axient Digital Four-Channel Receiver hire FAQs

When is Axient Digital worth it over ULX-D?+

When a dropout would be seen by the whole room, when the spectrum is crowded, or when the show needs Dante or AES67 into a broadcast chain. For a wedding or a small conference, ULX-D is the sensible hire.

What is Quadversity?+

Four antennas feeding one channel instead of two. On a wide stage, or where the receiver cannot see the performer, it keeps the signal solid from four positions at once.

Do you coordinate the frequencies?+

Yes, on every wireless hire. We plan the spectrum for the building before the kit leaves and arrange the Ofcom licence where the job needs Channel 38.
