The Robe Spiider is a compact LED wash beam built around 18 30 W RGBW MultiChip LEDs and a 60 W centre LED, the combination that produces its signature flower effect and made it a fixture on riders. With a wide zoom range, smooth colour mixing and full pixel control it works as a punchy wash, a beam effect and an eye-candy fixture in one unit.

How it is used
Spiiders map beautifully as pixels, so a rig of them can run chases, waves and video-style content from a desk with pixel mapping. Zoomed tight they read as beams in haze; zoomed wide they wash a stage or a cyc. Our designers programme them on grandMA or Avolites.

What is the Spiider flower effect?+
The 60 W centre LED combined with the ring of 18 LEDs produces a petal-shaped beam pattern that rotates and pulses, the look the fixture is known for.
Is the Spiider a wash or a beam?+
Both. Zoomed wide it washes a stage; zoomed tight in haze it reads as beams. Pixel control adds effects on top.
