Verve Homecare’s 10th year awards night in the St Alban Suite at Sopwell House: a Unilumin LED wall, d&b sound, a full moving light rig, an awards stage and a live gospel choir.

The story

A project worth looking at properly.

Verve Homecare marked ten years with Verve Awards Night at Sopwell House, bringing its team, partners and sponsors together under the line “no one cares more”. Working alongside event planners Snob Events, Kudos AV delivered the sound, lighting, staging and LED across the St Alban Suite, the foyer and the gardens.

In the suite, a 104 panel Unilumin LED wall on a raised LED stage carried the Verve brand and award content, driven through a Barco E2. A d&b audiotechnik system covered the speeches, the awards and a live gospel choir and band, while Robe, Chauvet and Vari-Lite moving lights, 31 Astera uplighters and haze filled the chandeliered room in Verve’s magenta, violet and blue. The evening also carried a presentation from the autism charity CASPA on the LED wall. Guests arrived to Astera uplighting and background music in the foyer and gardens. Everything was planned, built and run by the Kudos AV crew, from install through the show to derig.

LED Wall

104 Unilumin 2.6mm panels on a raised LED stage, with Barco E2 processing and dedicated playback.

Awards Stage

A Litedeck stage with front steps and an acrylic lectern, with comfort monitors for presenters.

Lighting Rig

Robe LED washes and beams, Chauvet R3 beams and Vari-Lite VL2600 profiles on four truss pillars, run from Avolites.

d&b Sound

d&b Y8 and Q7 with Q-SUBs, a Yamaha QL5, Shure ULX-D wireless and DPA headsets for presenters.

Gospel Choir and Band

Eleven choir mics, d&b MAX wedges and full band inputs for the live performance.

Foyer and Gardens

16 Astera uplighters and RCF sound for the drinks reception and guest arrival.
