Conventional fixtures still need dimming, and a lot of venues no longer have it installed. We hire Avolites ART dimmer racks and modules with the socapex and power distribution to feed them, so a rig of profiles, fresnels and pars can be controlled properly rather than switched.
Dimming is a power job as much as a lighting one. Our electricians install the racks, run the distribution and certify the installation as part of a crewed hire.
