Everything in the rig answers to the desk, so the control package decides how much of your lighting you can actually use. We hire Avolites consoles across the range, from the Quartz for a straightforward rig to the Arena where the fixture count and the cue stack get serious, alongside the network switches, nodes and splitters that carry DMX and Art-Net around a venue.
Data distribution is the part that gets forgotten and then costs an hour on site. We spec the Luminex nodes, splitters and Gigacore switches with the desk so the rig comes up first time.
