Our weddings and private events team creates weddings, milestone birthdays, religious celebrations and private parties across the UK and worldwide. Spectacular, personal, and built by our own people. This role sells it.
You are the first person our clients meet. You take the enquiry, lead the meeting or venue visit, uncover what they really want from the day, and turn it into a proposal they cannot wait to book. Then you see it through, handing over cleanly to production and standing on site for the big ones, watching what you sold come to life.
In the UK you will mainly be selling our three in house specialisms together. Overseas it is destination weddings and private events, for clients who want the same team and the same standard wherever in the world they celebrate.
Office based in Uxbridge, 8:30am to 5pm, with site work on event days. Salary is £28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, plus commission on the bookings you win. Site work is paid on top.
What you will be selling
AV production
Lighting that transforms a room, sound that packs the dancefloor, and video and staging that make every moment land.
Custom dancefloors, statement backdrops, welcome signage and branded graphics, printed in house.
Scenic
Sets, structures and styling builds that turn any venue into somewhere guests have never seen before.
What you will do
- Own every wedding and private event enquiry: respond fast and drive each lead to a decision.
- Meet clients in the office, at venues and online, and sell our AV production, print and scenic with confidence and flair.
- Grow every booking: spot where a client who came in for one service would love the full package.
- Win destination weddings and private events abroad, working with production on logistics and costings.
- Build winning quotes and proposals with the production team, and keep them sharp as plans change.
- Keep the CRM spotless so the pipeline, bookings and follow ups are always visible.
- Be on site for the larger projects, making sure what you sold is exactly what the client gets.
- Build a network of venues, planners and suppliers in the UK and overseas that keeps the work coming back.
What we are looking for
- Proven sales experience, ideally selling a service with a real consultation stage rather than a product off the shelf.
- Events experience, whether weddings, private events, hospitality, venues or event production.
- Confident and personable face to face, and comfortable leading a meeting from first hello to signed booking.
- Organised, quick to follow up and motivated by targets.
- Available for site work on larger projects, which can include evenings, weekends and occasional travel abroad.
Useful but not essential
- Experience selling into the weddings or private events market.
- Existing relationships with UK venues, wedding planners or destination wedding planners.
- A working understanding of event AV, print or scenic production.
- A valid passport and the flexibility to travel for overseas events.
- Full UK driving licence.
