Kudos AV produces conferences, award ceremonies, brand activations, exhibitions and private events across London and the UK, around 500 a year, from our base in Uxbridge. The core team is full time; when a build needs more hands we book freelancers we know, and the people who do good work get booked again and again.
Signing up takes two minutes: three details now, then an onboarding form where you tell us what you do, your tickets and your rates. Once you are on the register, our bookings board can put you straight on jobs. Day rates are agreed before you are booked, and we pay promptly on invoice.
For lighting that means everything from warm uplighting in a listed hall to busked awards shows and timecoded openers, mostly on Avolites and grandMA, with designers and programmers booked as such and paid as such.
What you will do
- Rig and focus conventional and moving fixtures from plans, on truss and on the deck.
- Programme and operate desks for conferences, awards nights and live performance.
- Run power and data cleanly, and keep the rig safe, tidy and show ready.
- Busk when the running order changes, because it always changes.
- Load in, load out and look after the kit.
What we are looking for
- Professional experience rigging and operating lighting on live events.
- Comfortable on Avolites or grandMA; programmers should know one deeply.
- Able to read a lighting plan and get on with it without hand holding.
- Happy working at height and to venue access rules across London and the UK.
Useful but not essential
- IPAF or PASMA tickets and your own PLI.
- Timecode and pixel mapping experience.
- A full UK driving licence.
