The stage sets the scale of the entire event.

The physical structure of an event tells the audience what kind of programme they are about to experience. A simple lectern signals a panel discussion. A multi tier stage with integrated screens and a 12 metre LED wall signals a flagship product launch. The structure leads, everything else follows.

We design and build stages from scratch for every event, sized to the venue, the running order and the audience layout. Whether it is a 600mm presenter platform or a multi level conference stage with show wings, integrated video walls and a flown lighting rig, we engineer it to be safe, solid and on brand.

Our rigging team operates under LOLER and PLASA standards. Full load calculations and risk assessments for every job, signed off before load in. The team is experienced working in complex venue restrictions including heritage interiors, low ceilings, listed beam structures and outdoor builds in high wind environments.

Structural Designers

CAD designers who specify stages and rigging structures from the venue out. Full load calculations, weight distribution, sight line analysis and audience flow. Drawings approved by structural engineers before fabrication.

LOLER Certified Riggers

Working at height riggers with current LOLER and IRATA certification. Roof rigging, ground support, chain motor operation and overhead truss. Documented inspection of every fixing before load in.

Project Managers

Single point of contact for the build from quote through to derig. Method statements, risk assessments, venue liaison and crew scheduling. They are the voice across all suppliers on site.

Build Crew

Stage build and dismantle team. Decking, stage skirt, masking and finishing. Trained on stages, towers, ground support and overhead truss. Out of hours load in to fit venue schedules.

Layher Allround scaffold for staging structures and towers. Litedeck and similar modular decking for fast install presenter stages. Stage heights from 200mm to 2m. Black stage skirt and brass front rail finish as standard.

Truss Systems

Prolyte and Global Truss.

Prolyte H30V and S52V truss for hanging and ground support structures. Global Truss F34 for smaller scale builds. Ground support towers for venues without rigging access. Custom truss shapes available on enquiry.

Hoists & Motors

CM Lodestar chain motors.

CM Lodestar half tonne and one tonne hoists for overhead motorised rigging. Manual chain blocks for fixed positions. Motor control for synchronised flying movements. Full LOLER documentation per motor.

Soft Rigging

Wire bond, slings and shackles.

Wire bond steels, polyester round slings, certified shackles and quick links. PPE for working at height. All hardware visually inspected and tested before each event. Certification register maintained per item.

Speaker stage and AV integration.

Single tier or multi tier presenter stages with integrated lectern, comfort monitor and screen positions. Stage extensions for round table sessions. Fast change masking for panel formats.

Concerts & Live Shows

Touring grade build.

Concert stage with downstage extension, lifts, risers for band positions, integrated drum riser. Full overhead truss rigging with motors. Stage left and right show wings for crew and equipment.

Fashion Shows

Runway and reveal stages.

Catwalk runway with integrated lighting positions and turnaround. Reveal stages and side stages for opening and finale. Standing audience pit with crash barrier. All hidden behind soft cladding.

Awards Galas

Hero stage for the room.

Curved or angular stage with integrated screens. Presenter podium positions. Walk on and walk off positions for each award. Integrated lectern and award table.

Brand Activations

Bespoke structures.

Custom built brand structures, photo wall positions, hero installations. Modular for tour. Integrated lighting and AV from the structure.

Outdoor Events

Wind loaded and weather rated.

Outdoor stages with full wind load calculations. Roof structures over performers and audience. Ballasted ground support without the need for ground fixings. Weather contingency plans built in.

How we work

Brief

We walk through the event, the venue, the running order and the audience layout. CAD survey of the venue.

Design

Stage and rigging structure in CAD with full load calculations. Engineer sign off before fabrication.

Build

On site build to the timeline. Method statements and risk assessments shared with the venue. Toolbox talks before each shift.

Show day

Crew on standby during the event for changeover, monitor checks and rapid response. Strip and derig after.
