The TiE London Awards celebrate budding entrepreneurs and professionals across London for their contributions to the UK economy. As part of The Indus Entrepreneurs global network, the London chapter brings together founders, investors and business leaders for an annual evening of recognition and networking at one of the capital's most prestigious venues.
Kudos AV was appointed to design and deliver the complete technical production for the ceremony, creating a branded stage environment that matched the ambition of the entrepreneurs it was honouring.
The Jumeirah Carlton Tower is one of London's most distinguished five-star hotels, with its Ballroom providing an elegant setting for gala dinners and awards ceremonies in the heart of Knightsbridge. Crystal chandeliers, high ceilings and a classic interior demanded a stage design that complemented the room's character rather than competing with it.
Kudos AV designed a set that worked within the proportions of the space: a white carpeted stage platform with red fascia panels running the full width, positioned against a backdrop of dual LED screens and three custom branded scenic panels featuring the London skyline illustration that forms the centrepiece of TiE London's visual identity.
The scenic design was developed specifically to reflect the TiE London brand: the three bespoke printed panels ran floor to ceiling alongside the LED screens, displaying the London skyline graphic and sponsor branding in a format that read clearly from every seat in the room.
The white stage with red facias created a clean, high-contrast presentation surface for award announcements and speeches. Gold candelabras flanked the stage on both sides, chosen to complement the gold chiavari chair gala dinner setting and reinforce the prestige of the evening.
Two 2m x 3.5m 3.9mm fine-pitch LED screens formed the backbone of the stage backdrop, delivering sharp, high-contrast display of award branding, sponsor content and presentation graphics throughout the evening.
Three custom branded scenic panels featuring the TiE London skyline illustration were designed and produced specifically for the event, creating a cohesive backdrop that extended and framed the LED screens on both sides of the stage.
A Barco S3 presentation system managed all screen inputs and switching, with a Mac Pro media server handling playback of video content and graphics across both LED screens with frame-accurate precision.
A d&b audiotechnik PA system delivered clean, consistent audio coverage across the ballroom for both speeches and entertainment. The system was configured to achieve full coverage without encroaching on the visual sightlines from any table position.
A full autocue system was provided for award presenters and speakers, allowing the ceremony to run at pace and with confidence. Prompting was managed by a dedicated operator throughout the awards sequence.
Uplighters around the room perimeter set a warm, atmospheric tone for the gala dinner, while dedicated stage wash and spot lighting provided clean, broadcast-quality illumination for award presentations and on-stage moments.
Kudos AV managed all technical production elements for the TiE London Awards, from pre-production design and equipment delivery through to live show operation and post-event de-rig at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower.
